play that particular weather band channel at maximum volume for 15 minute.

The alert indicator flashes every 2 seconds while it is at the monitoring mode.

If the unit is activated by the 1050Hz tone alert, the alert indicator and the WB indicator will

flash alternatively. You could shut off the playing by pressing

ON/OFF

 or

WEATHER

• If you are listening weather band manually, the unit will not monitor the 1050Hz tone alert. But the unit will

return to standby mode (to start the alert monitoring) if the WB channel you manually turned on don’t have

significant signal over 15 minutes. (This is also applied to Radio-alarm if the alarm wakes up to the weather

band.

Precautions

• Operate the unit on the power sources specified in “Specifications”.

• To disconnect the power cord (mains lead), pull it out by the plug, not the cord.

• Do not leave the unit in a location near a heat source such as a radiator or airduct, or in a place subject to

direct sunlight, excessive dust,

mechanical vibration, or shock.

• Allow adequate air circulation to prevent internal heat build-up. Do not place the unit on a surface (a rug, a

blanket, etc.) or near materials (a curtain) which might block the ventilation holes.

• Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit,

unplug the unit and have it checked by a qualified personnel before operating it any further.
