Description
ABORTING

Unit / Machine will be switched off ASAP for safety reasons.
Reasons can be:

Safety circuit(s) interrupted
-
Hardware fault
-
Faults with action ‘ABORT’
ABORTED

Machine is off and waiting for command to reset faults.
All machine parts are switched off. No movement is possible.
CLEARING
X
X
Command ‘reset’ to reset safety circuit(s) and/or hardware
failures has been given.
If no faults reoccur, status will change to STOPPED.
STOPPING
X
X
Machine is stopped. The machine tries to stop in a controlled
manner.
Reasons can be:

Faults with action ‘STOP’
-
Stop command by operator on HMI
STOPPED

Machine has stopped but is in ‘STAND-BY’ mode
Machine is waiting for reset command from operator.
If there are no (relevant) faults, the machine will automatically
switch to IDLE
RESETTING
X

Reset command has been given. Machine will attempt to
reset faults.
If positioning controls are present on the installation, an
attempt will be made to have them homed (automatically);
there is a possibility that you will be asked to check a position
with a pop-up screen.
Machine is waiting for faults to be resolved.
IDLE

Machine is ready to start.
Machine is waiting for start command from operator.
In this state the production settings can also be changed!
STARTING
X
X
Command to start machine has been given. In this state a
signal is given that the machine is starting via a horn. This
takes approx. 3 sec.
In this state it is checked whether the production settings
are correct. If not, the machine will be stopped to give the
operator a chance to correct this.
