Set Config Switch
Sets the switch configuration parameters. The changes you make with this
command are not retained when you reset or power cycle the switch unless you
save them using the
Config
Save command.
Authority
Admin session and a Config Edit session
Syntax
set config switch
This command initiates an editing session in which to change switch configuration
settings. The system displays each parameter one line at a time and prompts you
for a value. For each parameter, enter a new value or press the Enter key to
accept the current value shown in brackets.

describes the switch
configuration parameters.
Table 14-19. Switch Configuration Parameters
Parameter
Description
AdminState
Switch administrative state.
Online – Activates and prepares the ports to send data.
This is the default.
Offline – Prevents the ports from receiving signal and
accepting a device login.
Diagnostics – Prepares the ports for testing and prevents
the ports from accepting a device login.
Down – Disables the ports by removing power from the
port lasers.
BroadcastEnabled
Broadcast. Enables (True) or disables (False) forwarding of
broadcast frames. The default is True.
InbandEnabled
Inband management. Enables (True) or disables (False) the
ability to manage the switch over an ISL. The default is True.
FDMIEnabled
Fabric Device Monitoring Interface. Enables (True) or dis-
ables (False) the monitoring of target and initiator device
information. The default is True.
FDMIEntries
The number of device entries to maintain in the FDMI data-
base. Enter a number from 0–1000. The default is 1000.
DefaultDomainID
Default domain ID. The default is 1.
DomainIDLock
Prevents (True) or allows (False) dynamic reassignment of
the domain ID. The default is False.
SymbolicName
Descriptive name for the switch. The name can be up to 32
characters excluding #, semicolon (;), and comma (,). The
default is SANbox.
