Configuring Ports
The port settings or characteristics for 1-Gbps/2-Gbps and 10-Gbps ports are
configured using the Port Properties dialogs shown in
Figure 5-2
. To open the
corresponding type of Port Properties dialog, select one or more ports, open the
Port menu and select
Port Properties
or
Port Properties 10G
.

The 1-Gbps/2-Gbps and 10-Gbps Port Properties dialogs display the switch name
and the selected ports. Use the Port Properties dialogs to change the following
parameters:
Port state
Port speed (1-Gbps/2-Gbps only)
Port type
I/O Stream Guard (RSCN Suppression)
Device scan
Media Part Number
The part number assigned to the SFP
Media Revision
Transceiver hardware version
