Chapter 8 — Maintaining and Troubleshooting Your Printer
154
Verifying Proper Operation
When setting up your ColorScript 310/330 printer for the first
time, or after transporting the printer to new location, you
should test the printer to make sure the printer was not damaged
in transit. This self-test checks the printer’s internal
components, and prints a test page that provides information
about the printer’s fonts, resolution, internal hard disk, and
communication ports.
To verify proper printer operation, issue a Config Print
command using the printer keypad (see Figure 1-2 on Page 5.)
To initiate the Config Print command:
1.
Press the Menu button repeatedly until CONFIG
PRINT appears in the LCD window.
2.
Press the Select key to start the self-test process.
There may be a slight delay before the printer starts printing
the page. The printer status will return to ready after the
Config Print page prints.
