NOTE:
The dye ribbon must exit each spindle over the top. The
dye-coated side of the ribbon faces down, where it can contact the
paper below the ribbon cassette. The plastic gears at the spindle ends
must be on the right side of the ribbon cassette, indicated by an
R
on
the cassette.
2.
Holding the ribbon cassette by the handles, lower it
gently into the printer.
Verify that the gears engage and both spindles settle fully
into place.
3.
Rotate the green ribbon winding wheel at the upper
right of the printer opening (see Figure 3-4).
Facing the front of the printer, turn the wheel toward you to
take up the slack in the dye ribbon.
