Replacing Expansion Cards
The TS-1886XU-RP supports selected expansion cards, some of which require QNAP PCIe brackets.
QNAP-branded expansion cards purchased from the company website are shipped with the brackets
necessary to fit the TS-1886XU-RP.
Note
• A dual-port 10GbE SFP+ network expansion card is pre-installed on PCIe 3.0 slot 4.
• Slot 2 will reduce its speed from x8 to x4 if an expansion card is installed in slot 1.
• Slot 4 will reduce its speed from x8 to x4 if an expansion card is installed in slot 3.

Power off the NAS.
2.
Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
3.
Disconnect all cables and external attachments.
4.
Remove the case cover.

Remove the existing expansion card.

Remove the screw that secures the cover to the chassis.
b.
Hold the card by the edges.
c.
Carefully pull the card out of the slot.
