Replacing Memory Modules
The TS-hx77XU-RP has four memory slots. You can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by upgrading
the memory module.
Use only QNAP modules of the same type and capacity to maintain system performance and stability. You
can purchase QNAP memory modules from authorized resellers.
Replacing Memory Modules on the TS-h977XU-RP
Important
QNAP recommends installing modules in pairs to run dual-channel mode.
• Ensure that each memory channel uses identical modules. See table below for details:

• Install the pairs in sequence and follow the assigned slots for each pair.
• When installing one module use the slot furthest from the CPU (slot 4).
• Install memory modules in groups of two or four. When installing two memory modules,
install the memory in memory slots 2 and 4. When installing four modules, install the
memory in slots 2,4 and then slots 1, and 3.
