Tools Needed:
Shop Vac, Phillips head and flat head screwdriver
1200 Pellet Insert
Heat Exchanger
Cleaning Rods
1.
Lift the hopper lid to access the cleaning rods. Both
black bent handle pull rods are located close to the face
of the appliance to the left and right side.
Figure 3.1.

Pull the rods straight out until they stop, approximately
0 inches (508mm).
. To clean, slide the rods OUT and IN a couple of times.
1. Open the right side access door and then open the
glass door.
. Grasp the bottom of the baffles and pull up to dis
-
lodge from hook attachment.
. Use a standard screw driver to unlatch the covers
beneath the baffles of each side.
4. Re-install in reverse order.

Use a Shop Vac to vacuum any fly ash and soot from the
heat exchanger tubes and firebox area.

. Remove any debris that may be in the drop tube.
C. Vacuum Heat Exchanger Tubes, Firebox Area
and Drop Tube
D. Clean Firebox Exhaust Exits & Exhaust Blower
1.
There are exhaust exits at the back of the firebox on
the left and right side.

. Using a Phllips head screwdriver remove the screws
and set aside the access covers.
. Vacuum the exhaust exits thoroughly.
4. Clean the exhaust blower blades while the access
cover on the left side is still removed.

E. Clean Exhaust Exit Behind the Exhaust Blower
1. Open the hinged access door on the left of the insert.

. Reach in and unlatch the clean-out door that is con

nected to the rear of exhaust blower.

4. Re-latch and close clean-out door.
