FIREBOX VACUUM TESTING
STEP 1) INSTALL A VACUUM “T” BETWEEN THE VACUUM
SWITCH AND DROP TUBE.
STEP 2) INSTALL THE VACUUM GAUGE TO THE “T”.
STEP 3) START THE STOVE AND SET TO MANUAL “HIGH”.
***note: make sure fuel is in the hopper as this can
effect the vacuum reading. It takes .04 inches of water to close
the vacuum switch.****
ALL VACUUM READINGS ARE MEASURED IN INCHES OF WATER
COLUMN. LONG VERTICAL VENT RUNS WILL PRODUCE MORE
VACUUM COMPARED TO HORIZONTAL RUNS.

Start-up during pre-heat --- .04
Start-up while dropping pellets --- .19
Soft Start LOW ---- .19
Soft Start MEDIUM ---- .15
HIGH ---- .14
SHUTDOWN --- .12

Start-up while dropping pellets --- .16

TECH TIPS:
Low vacuum can be the result
of a leaking door gasket, firepot
not closing all of the way, dirty
heat exchanger, or plugged
vent system.
Always make sure the unit
is clean before making any
repairs.
