8. Cleaning the Glass

a. Be sure the wall control screen says OFF and the
appliance is allowed to cool.
b. Clean glass with a non-abrasive commercially
available cleaner. Wipe down with dry towel.
Handle glass assembly with care.
When cleaning glass door:
• Avoid striking, scratching or slamming
glass.
CAUTION
• Do NOT clean glass when hot.
• Do NOT use abrasive cleaners.
• Use a hard water deposit glass cleaner on white film.
Refer to maintenance instructions.
Handle glass doors with care.
• Inspect the gasket to ensure it is
undamaged.
• Do NOT strike, slam or scratch glass.
• Do NOT operate appliance with glass door
removed, cracked, broken or scratched.

9. Door Latch Inspection

The door latch is non-adjustable but the gasketing between
the glass and firebox should be inspected periodically to
make sure there is a good seal. If the gasket is frayed or
damaged, replace with a new one.
7. Cleaning the Hopper
•
Frequency:
Monthly or after burning 1 ton of fuel,
(aprx 50 bags) or when changing fuel types

a. Be sure the wall control screen says OFF and the
appliance is allowed to cool.
b. After burning approximately 1 ton of fuel you will need to
clean the hopper to prevent sawdust and/or fines build-
up.
c. A combination of sawdust/fines and pellets on the auger
reduces the amount of fuel supply to the firepot.
d. This can result in nuisance shut downs and misstarts
. •. Empty the hopper of any remaining pellets.
•. Vacuum the hopper and feed tube.
Clean-Out Cover
a. Be sure the wall control screen says OFF and the appli

ance is allowed to cool.
b. Open the clean out cover.
