Memory Module Installation
Carefully follow the steps below in order to install the DIMMs:
1. To avoid generating static electricity and damaging the DIMM, ground yourself by
touching a grounded metal surface or use a ground strap before you touch the
DIMM.
2. Do not touch the connectors of the DIMM. Dirt or other residue may cause a
malfunction.
3. Spread apart the ejector tabs on each end of the DIMM socket.
4. Hold the DIMM with its notch aligned with the onboard socket and insert it
straight down into the socket.
5. Fully insert the module into the socket until the ejector tabs pop up and a “click”
is heard.
