SATA Power Connector & SATA Power Cable
The RAK-120S provides six 7-pin SATA 3.0 data connectors (Figure 4, pos. 2), four SATA power cables (Figure 4, pos. 3)
and two dual 2.5" HDD / SSD brackets (Figure 4, pos. 7) for installing up to four 2.5" SATA HDDs / SSDs.
4.4.3.
M.2 Socket
The RAK-120S reserves one M.2 Key B socket (Figure 4, pos. 4), allowing the expansion with a Type 22x80 M.2 SSD
drive.
4.4.4.
mSATA / mPCIe Socket
The RAK-120S reserves one mSATA / mPCIe combo socket (Figure 4, pos. 5), allowing itself being extended with a full-
sized mSATA SSD or a full-sized mPCIe WLAN / WLAN + Bluetooth card.The switch between mSATA and mPCIe can be
configured via jumper JP1. In case of installing an mPCIe WWAN modem card, an additional SIM card cage is required
(it must be so stipulated when ordering).

PCIe x16 Add-on Card Slot
The RAK-120S provides one PCIe x16 add-on card slot (Figure 4, pos. 6) for network, storage, graphics, video or other
functional expansion. It is accessible from the rear I/O panel. The slot supports only x8 signal.
The PCIe x16 slot is located on the riser card. There are two PCIe x16 slots on the riser card.
Only the upper one is functional.
