Unit Switch
A double pole single throw ON/OFF rocker switch on
the front of the control panel is used to turn the entire
chiller on and off as shown in
.
When the switch is placed in the OFF (O) position, the
system shuts down immediately, and all systems will
be disabled. When the switch is ON (I), the switch pole
has continuity through it for the 115VAC run signal
from the control relay board to the VSD board.
Except in emergencies, always use the
SYSTEM SWITCH
to turn off the com
-
pressor, which allows the compressor to
go through a controlled shutdown. Avoid
using the UNIT SWITCH
to turn off the
compressor.
Keypad
An operator keypad allows complete control of the sys-
tem from a central location.
Access the following command keys on the left and
right side of the keypad:
• Displays
• Program setpoints
• History data, and
• To initiate system commands.
Use the following keys in the center to enter data in the
various program modes:
• 0-9 is a NUMERIC KEYPAD allows keying nu-
meric values into memory.
• PERIOD/DECIMAL allows keying a decimal
point into numeric values.
• +/- (PLUS/MINUS) allows making numeric val-
ues negative or positive.
•
(ENTER) stores program changes into
memory.
•
(CANCEL) cancels the data entry operation,
and returns the programmed value to the origi-
nal value, before any programming changes were
made or when an error is made.
•
▲ (UP) and ▼ (DOWN) ARROW allow scroll
-
ing (▲) backward and (▼) forward
under keys
such as:
• PROGRAM
• OPTIONS
• UNIT or SYSTEM DATA
• HISTORY
•
◄ (LEFT) and ► (RIGHT) ARROW keys allow
scrolling between non-numeric program choices
under the OPTION, DATE/TIME, and SCHED-
ULE keys. The ◄ key allows programming the
default value when programming numeric values.
For changing numeric values, the ► key has no
function. Pressing the ◄ key moves the display
in the opposite direction. The arrow keys also al-
low fast scrolling through subgroups of data under
keys, such as HISTORY.
