model is listed on your packing list.

Location:
This box lists several default temperatures. Select the temperature
that best applies to your study area. This is for battery life estimations only.
The lower the temperature the shorter your battery life prediction will be.
3.
Name Time and Mortality Setting:
In this box you will configure three
settings:
•
The nickname is a title you give each collar to help easily identity the
data. This field must only include letters, numbers, and hyphens.
•
The customer message is where you can enter notes that pertain to a
specific collar. It is a good spot to quickly summarize your program or
prior usage of the collar.
•
The third option allows you to select the appropriate time zone. The
GPS will not shift between daylight savings time and standard time. If
your study overlaps these transitions the timestamps in your data may
be off by one hour.

Calendar Settings:
It is in this box that you can enter basic programming
information.
Once you have configured your GPS than you may proceed to programming it. There are
three programming options for you to choose from:
Template Mode
,
Repeat Mode
, and
Always on Mode
.
3.5b Create program in Template Mode

This programming mode allows you to create up to 26 different GPS positioning schedule
templates and apply these templates to any days of your choosing. Each template may
consist of up to 255 different GPS positioning attempts with the one restriction that your
templates combined may not contain more than 3,500 scheduled fix attempts. Those
templates can be applied to any day of your choosing which enables you to schedule as
many fixes attempts as you desire. Using the template programming mode you can
configure your GPS to attempt to acquire a position at almost any time and date of your
choosing.

After you have completed the initial configuration of your GPS navigate to the
Calendar Page
of Collar SW.

On the left side of the screen click the tab

.
