7.5 Using a USB device to update programming
The Collar Auto software is capable of detecting a
settings.csv
file on the memory of any
USB device. The compatible devices include USB flash drives, external hard drives,
digital cameras, and some smart phones.
When a compatible device is connected to the computer running Collar Auto it will
automatically scan the USB device and change the settings to match your new
programming. Your old
settings.csv
file will be backed up as
settings.csv.old
. The
software will beep once to indicate that your USB device is connected. Once it has
transferred the data the software will continuously beep this pattern:
beep pause beep
beep
.
See
Appendix C
for a complete list of audio messages.
