Appendix D: Collar SW Errors and Warning
These messages will appear in the notification window of the status bar. When an error
message is present you will be unable to upload your programming into your GPS. The
warning messages are notifications that you should take into account while programming
your GPS, but they will not prevent you from uploading your programming.
Errors
Not set template
: Fix this error by ensuring that a template is set to every date
within your
calendar to
and
calendar from
dates.
Nickname not fill
: To fix this go to the
File
menu
and select edit collar. In the
Nickname
field enter your desired nickname. Be certain to only use letters,
numbers and hyphens.
Mortality less then 90 minutes
: This will only occur if using the Quantum
5000. Fix this by changing your mortality minutes to be greater than 90
minutes.
Drop off is early
: This error occurs when your drop off date occurs before your
battery is set to expire. Fix this by changing your drop off date to the last day of
your schedule.
Note
: When the “Drop off is early” error appears, sometimes the software simply will
not allow you to set a drop off on that particular date. However, there is an easy way
to get around this problem. Simply uncheck the drop off box on the “Select Collar”
screen and proceed to your calendar page where your schedule is located. You may
now upload your schedule, minus the drop off. Go up to the collar tab and select
upload. After that, go to the “Settings” page and find the drop off date and time
boxes. Enter the date and time that you would like and scroll up and click the “Write
All” button. This will save the drop off date and time you requested. Now, navigate
back to the “Calendar” page and click the “Collar” tab and click on “Download” to
view what programming is currently written on your GPS unit. You should see the
schedule and the drop off now appear on your calendar page.
