f. A pop-up appears asking you to confirm that all other nodes in the system are healthy. If so, type
the password for
admin
and click
Shutdown
.
g. Wait for ActiveScale SM to display a notification in a green banner indicating that the node was
shut down successfully:
h. Confirm that you shut down the right node by checking that its front and back LEDs are off.
2. Disconnect all of the cables from the faulty P100E3 Node.
Important:
Remove the drives before removing the P100E3 Node from the rack.
You do NOT have to decommission the drives.
3. Remove the 2.5 inch drives from the P100E3 Node. For more information, refer to
4. Remove the 3.5 inch drives from the P100E3 Node. For more information, refer to
Warning:
There is no lock or warning indication that the P100E3 Node is about
to come free from the rack. Use extreme caution.
5. Grasp the P100E3 Node and pull it out of the rack using even pressure.
6. Record the serial number for return purposes. The serial number and part number are located on a
pull-out tab located to the right of the SSD drive.
3.1.4.2 Installing a P100E3 Node
To install the replacement P100E3 Node:
1. Slide the P100E3 Node into the rack until it stops.
