How does the GoVault data protection software maintain
data integrity?
The GoVault data protection software makes sure your data is safely
stored to the GoVault cartridge by enabling buffer flushing during disk
write operations. This slows down first-pass archiving performance, but
provides a higher level of data integrity.
The GoVault data protection software ensures everything is written to the
physical media before committing records. If data corruption is ever
detected, the system will quarantine the corrupted data and attempt to
rebuild the portion of corrupted data using information from the original
file.
