2. Introduction
The AT011 is designed to test the Quark-elec
AIS receiver and other AIS products. It will send
out a theoretical vessels position together with
other AIS related information using an AIS
transmission simulator. The unit needs a 5V
power supply and can be controlled using a PC
USB interface. Once the unit has been
programmed it can be disconnected from the PC
to be used in situ.
The AT011 must not be used at Sea. This
terminal is for testing purposes only.
3. Connecting
The AT011 has two connections:
USB:
5.0 volt USB cable for powering and configuring AT011
AIS output:
BNC connector for the output of the AIS in NMEA 0183 format.
