6.2.7.Mechanics
PiXtend V2 -L- has 12 holes for M2.5 screws (diameter 2.5 mm). Four of these are suitable
for mounting the Raspberry Pi model B + / 2 B / 3 B / 3 B+. The required screws and
spacers are included or already installed.
Further screws and spacers allow the PiXtend stainless steel hood to be attached or to
screw PiXtend onto a mounting plate. The external dimensions of the printed circuit board
is designed for insertion into an aluminum DIN rail housing.
If PiXtend V2 -L- is used without the mentioned housing parts, the spacers ensure a
secure stand and prevent the bending of the printed circuit board when inserting and
loosening cables. In operation, PiXtend must be installed in a housing (either with the
original accessory or in another suitable housing).
