Connection Notes
The following circuit diagrams illustrate the use of individual circuit parts which can
influence the PiXtend microcontrollers.
The reset circuit allows the PiXtend microcontrollers to reset. The reset circuit can be
operated as follows:
1. If the Raspberry Pi GPIO23 (pin 16) is configured as an input, the microcontroller is
in the normal operating state
2. If the GPIO23 is configured as an output, the state of the controller depends on the
output level of the GPIO. At a low level (0 V), the controller is in normal operation. At
a high level (3.3V), the controller is reset and remains in the reset state until the
HIGH level is cleared (set to LOW again).
