H. MOTOR LOCKS
Disconnect the motor locks when you need to manually push the chair.
(For example, in an emergency, or if batteries fail).
WARNING
1. Do not disengage motor locks unless power to the chair is off.
2. With either one or both brakes released, the chair will not operate and the
battery charge indicator will flash 9 bars rapidly (if power to the chair is on.)
3. Be aware that the chair will not have brakes in the free-wheel position.
4. Make sure that the person pushing the chair has full control when motor locks
are disengaged.
1. Release Motor Locks
a. The motor release levers (A) are attached to the upper rear section of the motors
located towards the back of the chair.
b. Pull the release levers rearward toward the rear of the chair.
2. Engage Motor Locks
a. The motor release levers (A) are attached to the upper rear section of the motors
located at the back of the chair.
b. Push the motor release levers inward, toward the front of the chair.
NOTE–
If the lever is difficult to disengage, rock the wheelchair slightly from front to rear and/or push against
the chair while moving the lever.
