Section V - Operating Instructions
Flow & Purity Controller Operation
The Flow & Purity Controller maintains the
nitrogen purity by varying the flow out of
the system while under constant pressure
changes.
Flow & Purity Control Operation
procedure
The Flow & Purity Controller is factory set
to the user’s requirement and should not be
changed unless the compressed air going
into the generator varies more than 10 psig
from the air pressure specified at time of
order, or the air pressure was unknown at
time of order.
NOTICE!
If the purity is not at or better
than required and the pressure and
temperature going into the system
are as required, the Flow & Purity
Controller can be adjusted to meet
the purity demand. Adjusting the
Controller will directly affect the flow
of nitrogen out of the system. To get
better purity, flow must decrease. A
lower purity will increase flow.
The controller has a 3/32” hex screw on the
opposite side of the inlet port. Clockwise
will decrease flow, counterclockwise will
increase flow. If an analyzer is installed,
make gradual adjustments, allowing 120
seconds between adjustments to allow for
flow change and the analyzer to settle.
