Special conditions for FM marking
The LB series Line Bushings are intended to provide electrical connections through
compartment walls of enclosures.
The LB series Line Bushings require additional evaluation and testing in the end use
equipment to verify compliance with FM approvals requirements. The hazardous location
rating is to be determined in conjunction with the end use equipment.
Conductors shall not be subjected to a pull force more than 7lbf (31N)
Operating temperature shall not exceed the marked operating temperature of the
conductors or 115°C whichever is less. The Line bushings are not for use or installation in
Ketone atmospheres.
Special conditions for UL Marking.
These line bushings are intended to provide the electrical connection between two
explosion-proof enclosures or two compartments of an explosion-proof enclosure. They
are not intended to be use as conduit sealing fittings.
The LB series Line Bushings require additional evaluation and testing in the end use
equipment to verify compliance with UL approvals requirements. The hazardous location
rating is to be determined in conjunction with the end use equipment.
Conditions of Acceptability.
1. These line bushings have only been evaluated for use as a connection between
explosion proof compartments and not for use as a conduit seal.
2. Explosion-proof joints formed between the line bushing and the end product must
be evaluated as a part of the evaluation on the end product
3. A minimum of seven full threads must be engaged in the end application as
appropriate.
4. The Temperature and voltage of the conductors should be evaluated in the end
application.
