User Manual

2. FREQuency Subsystem Command Reference

2.1 FREQuency:LO1 <numeric value>

This command allows the user to set the LO1 frequency of the QM1014. The frequency value is specified
in GHz. The range of acceptable LO1 frequency values is 10-20 GHz with a 6 decimal places and a 1 Hz
tuning resolution. This resolution can be made finer if necessary via a future firmware update.

Example

:FREQ:LO1 13

This command sets the LO1 frequency of the QM1014 to 13 GHz

.

Default Condition

On power up, or when a

*RST

command is issued, the QM1014 returns to the boot state’s setting. The

LO Synthesizer Distribution Unit default setting is 13. This is an override setting for debugging purposes.
Subsequent tune commands will remove this override.

Query

:FREQ:LO1?

This query returns the LO1 frequency of the QM1014 in GHz.

Error Message

If the parameter is not in the recognized format, error

-102, "Syntax error"

occurs.

If the parameter is not between 9.501 and 16, error

-222, "Data out of range"

occurs.
