Full Range Vacuum Gauge Assembly
The instrument must be returned to the factory for fitting this option as the
covers need to be removed.
As standard, the Q150T is fitted with a Pirani gauge with a measurement range of 1000
– 5x10
-4
mbar. The typical ultimate vacuum of the pumping system in a clean instrument
after pre-pumping with dry nitrogen gas is 5 x10
-5
mbar. When the vacuum is better than
5x10
-4
mbar the instrument simply displays “HiVac”. For users who need an accurate
value for the vacuum achieved before and during the coating process (for example,
when evaporating carbon it is desirable to achieve as good a vacuum as possible), the
Full Range Vacuum Gauge Assembly option (10428) extends the accurate measurement
range to 1000 – 5x10
-9
mbar.
