4.7 Alarm Setup and Alarm Activation
Before operation, please make sure you have properly connected alarm devices such as buzzer.
4.7.1 Go to alarm setup interface
In the main menu, from Setting to Alarm, you can see alarm setup interface. See Figure 4-28.
4.7.2 Alarm setup
Alarm interface is shown as below. See Figure 4-34.

Here is for you to select channel number.
Event type:
There are four types. Local input/network input/IPC external/IPC offline alarm.
o
Local alarm: The alarm signal is detected via the alarm input port.
o
Network alarm: This is the alarm signal from the network.
o
IPC external alarm: This is the on-off alarm signal from the front-end devic, which can
activate the local HDVR.
o
IPC offline alarm: Once you select this item, the system triggers the alarm when the
front-end IPC disconnects with the local HDVR. The alarm can activate record, PTZ,
snap and etc. The alarm can last until the IPC and the HDVR connection resumes.
Important
If this is your first time to booting up the device, the disconnection status of the front-
end network camera will not be marked as offline. After one successful connection, all
disconnection events will be regarded as IPC offline event.
When IPC offline alarm occurs, the record and snapshot function of digital channel is null.
