Handset and Base Operation
Page/Intercom
•
To page the Handset from the
Base press the PAGE key. The
Handset will ring for approximately
20 seconds.
The Handset will display PAGE
FROM BASE.
•
To end the page, press PAGE on
the Handset except for OFF or the
three softkeys.
From Handset to Handset:
•
Press the INTERCOM key and then the number key of the other Handset
you wish to call (e.g. HANDSET 3).
• Handset 3 can then answer the intercom call by pressing any key (except
OFF or the three softkeys).
• To end the intercom call press OFF on either Handset.
Call All from Handset:
• Press the INTERCOM key followed by the * key. All registered Handsets
will ring.
• Any Handset can answer by pressing any key (except OFF or the three
softkeys).
• To end the intercom call press OFF or replace the Handset on its Base.
NOTE: To use these functions, you must have additional 2603 accessory
Handset(s) registered to the 2621 Base.
Transferring Calls
If you have more than 2 Handsets registered the 2621 base by buying
additional handsets 2603, you can transfer external calls with the 2621 system
from Handset to Handset.
Blind Transfer:
Directly transfer any active call to another registered handset without
notification:
• Press the INTERCOM key followed by the number of the other Handset you
wish to call (e.g. HANDSET 2).
• The ringing Handset can pick up the transferred call like a regular incoming
call.
NOTE: If ringing Handset does not respond in about 30 seconds, the external
call will be returned to the original Handset and its display will show CALL
ON HOLD RING BACK! If the returned call is not answered within 30 seconds,
the external call will end automatically.
