6 Troubleshooting
6.1 Device Not showing up
If the devices do not show up on the web user interface, one of the following messages
may be displayed under the ”EchoRing Deployment” box:
• Unreachable Testbeds: These devices could not be discovered by the configuration
server for roughly 20 seconds.
• Elsewhere Paired Testbeds: The devices shown in this section are reporting that they
are already paired.
• Mismatching Testbeds: These devices are not compatible with the Configuration Server
in any of the core functions (Configuration or Update).
Mismatching Testbeds
If none of the subprotcols are compatible with the corresponding Configuration Server
subprotocol versions for a device, the device will be shown in the ”Mismatching Testbeds”.
To check the exact version numbers of the subprotocols, go to ”Station Control” in the
bottom lefthand corner and click on the speech bubbles icon in the upperhand right corner.
The subprotocol version numbers from both server (first line) and stations (more below)
will be shown.
TIP
— The subprotocols are abbreviated with their first three letters (e.g.
configuration
→
CON,
measurement
→
MEA, update
→
UPD). Hover over the labels to see the full subprotocol name.
The version numbers on the labels must be the same, so that the Configuration Server and
the devices can communicate in the domain concerned.
