5.3.5 Static IP
If the Bridge E devices are deployed in a network without a DHCP server, a static IP address
can be assigned. The Subnet Mask, Gateway, Nameserver and Timeserver are specified per
plant. If necessary, these settings can be overwritten on a network and device level or for
all Mobile Stations. The most specific setting takes precedence.
An IP address needs to be entered to configure the Subnet Mask, Gateway, Nameserver or
Timeserver. It is not possible to use an URL to configure it.
NOTE
— These settings only apply to stations with an static IP address set.
i
TIP
— Ensure that they remain conformant with other DHCPs and other items in the network.
WARNING
— The Bridge E goes into Fallback Mode if the config flag is not set (i.e. in Deployment Mode),
but the config check fails. Since the configuration in the Bridge E is not usable and therefore no static IP
settings either, DHCP will be used.
