2.1 Safety
information
2.1.1 General

CAUTION:
The risk of accidents when using, maintaining or
repairing your implement can be reduced if you
observe the safety instructions and the detailed
preventive measures contained in the instructions.

Only the work and procedures described in these instructions
are permitted to be performed. The manufacturer is not able
to foresee all risk situations. As a result, the safety information
provided in these instructions and on the implement is not
complete.
ʈ
As the user of this implement, you must take the possible
risks for yourself, other people or the implement into account
appropriately when using the implement.
CAUTION:
Not observing the safety and operating instructions,
as well as the repair and maintenance instructions
for your implement can cause severe and even fatal
accidents.
2.1.2
8VHUTXDOL¿FDWLRQV
ʈ
The implement may only be operated, maintained and repaired
by people who are aware of its particular features and are
familiar with the applicable safety procedures.
ʈ
Before you use this implement, familiarise yourself with all
control devices and their proper use.
2.1.3
Coupling and uncoupling the implement
ʈ
If one single operator is present, the driver couples and
XQFRXSOHVWKHLPSOHPHQWKLPKHUVHOI8VHWKHH[WHUQDO
operating elements for lifting.
ʈ
Ensure that nobody can stand between the tractor and
the implement or close to the implement when coupling or
uncoupling.
ʈ
Before leaving the tractor to couple or uncouple the
implement, apply the parking brake, shut down the engine and
remove the ignition key from the tractor.
ʈ
Before coupling your implement, ensure that the coupling
bolts, the bolt couplings or the ball joints do not show
any signs of wear, are not starting to crack and are not
incompatible with your tractor.
ʈ
Do not discharge the pressure from your hydraulic circuit until
you have connected or released the hydraulic lines.
ʈ
Connect or disconnect the electrical connections.
ʈ
Lower the implement completely to the ground and apply the
implement's support(s) before decoupling. Ensure that the
VXUIDFHLVHYHQDQGVXI¿FLHQWO\VWDEOHWRJXDUDQWHHWKDWWKH
implement is completely stable when setting down.
ʈ
When your implement is set down, ensure that it is stable to
prevent accidents or material damage occurring.
2.1.4
Hydraulic circuit and hydraulic connections
CAUTION:
The hydraulic circuit is under high pressure.
ʈ
If there is a leak in the hydraulics, you must never come into

penetrate the skin and cause fatal injuries.
Consult a doctor
immediately if you are injured.
ʈ
Observe the installation sequence for the hydraulic
connections. Ensure that the tractor's connections are properly
aligned horizontally or vertically.
ʈ
Before connecting the hydraulic circuit, clean the tractor's
connections and the implement, and ensure that the pressure
on the tractor side and the implement side is zero.
ʈ
Replace damaged or worn hydraulic hoses and ensure that
the dimensions are correct.
ʈ
Each time you work on the hydraulic system, lower the
implement to the ground, discharge the pressure from the
hydraulic circuit, stop the tractor's engine and actuate the
distributor.
2.1.5
Handling the implement
ʈ

work. Any other use is considered abnormal use of the
implement and is therefore prohibited.

Do not carry out work on a running implement.
ʈ
Do not remain in the pivoting range of the bolt, hydraulic or
mechanical securing elements.
ʈ
Wear appropriate clothing and the protective equipment that
is appropriate for the work carried out (thick leather gloves,
safety shoes, safety goggles, etc.).
ʈ
Cordon off a safety zone for other people.
ʈ
Do not make any adjustments unless you have understood the
procedure completely.
ʈ
Use suitable tools or equipment for running work.
ʈ
Use the implement and its operating elements correctly; do not
allow anyone without training to operate the implement.
ʈ
The mechanical adjustment bolts are not permitted to be
H[WHQGHGLQRUGHUWRSUHYHQWWKHULVNRIWKHWKUHDGEHLQJ
pulled out and being unscrewed inadvertently.
ʈ
Only the operator is permitted to be in the tractor when
working and he/she must never leave his/her seat. Nobody is
permitted to be on the implement when it is running.
ʈ
Stop the implement if you notice unusual noises or vibration.
Search for and rectify the cause of the incident before starting
to work again.
CAUTION:
Only actuate implements with hydraulic folding
mechanisms from the tractor's seat. Ensure that
nobody can stand in the pivoting range of the side
parts and the rear attachments.
