CONFIGURING THE 1269
Using This
Chapter
This section includes procedures to install and configure the
1269 mainframe. Use this chapter to
:
•
Review installation site considerations.
•
Configure the 1269 to allow the
VXIbus Slot 0
controller
to reside in either the front
C0 slot
or the rear
B0 slot
.
•
Install VXI modules, card guide covers, or optional
blanking plates.
•
Install the 1269 rack mount options, and install the
mainframe into an instrument rack.
•
Connect safety ground.
•
Re-configure fan speed range (HI - LO) setting.
•
Configure and connect to the optional Enhanced
Monitoring System (EMS) module.
AC Mains Power
The 1269 AC input is both auto-voltage and auto-frequency
ranging, and requires no voltage switch selection.
When the standard 1269 is shipped, it is fused for 120 VAC
operation. If Option 71 (P/N 407524) is ordered, the 1269 is
fused for 230 VAC operation. Should it be necessary to
replace the AC mains fuse (F400), refer to
Chapter 7

Warning
For your protection from electrical shock when
operating at mains frequencies greater than 63Hz,
connect the chassis safety ground terminal to
permanent earth ground. See Figure 2-12.
