The “Enable Register” determines which of the “Event Register”
bits will be passed onto the next level of status reporting. The
value of the “Event Register” and “Enable Register” are
logically ANDed together. If any of the bits of both registers are
set, the status summary bit passed onto the next level of status
reporting is also set. This is shown in
Figure 4-2.
