DESCRIPTION:
FTIMe and RTIMe are aliases for the FALL:TIME and
RISe:TIME commands respectively. These commands
configure the 2461 TYPE C to measure the fall time and rise
time of the signal. The fall time is the period the signal takes
to go from 90% to 10% of its peak value. The rise time is the
period the signal takes to go from 10% to 90% of its peak
value.
The ARRay command programs the counter for multiple rise
or fall time measurements as specified by the <array size>
parameter.
The execution of these commands forces the following
settings: channels 1 and 2 are commoned, the slope
selection for each channel is set to positive (for rise time
measurement) or negative (for fall time measurement) and
auto trigger is selected. The forced settings exist only while
this function is selected; when the instrument is set to a basic
function, then the previous values of these settings are
restored.
The optional <expected value> and <resolution> parameters
are used to derive the required number of digits of resolution.
Their units are seconds. The actual resolution derived by the
2461 TYPE C is determined by both the input signal and the
resolution set.
