Using the PCI Expansion Slot
The P1520 motherboard has a general purpose PCI (3.3V) expansion slot to connect various expansion cards. It
uses a low-profile riser (3.3V) in combination with a
low-profile PCI card
(3.3V or Universal card). For more
information, contact Radiant or reference
http://www.pcisig.org
.
¾
Typically, Radiant will install the riser and specific PCI card at manufacturing since it is connected directly
to the motherboard. It is not recommended to install a card in the field.

Storage
The P1520 can be configured with USB Disk on Chip (uDOC), Compact Flash, or 3.5” Hard Disk Drive
storage.
Hard Drive Storage
NOTE:
Unplug the terminal before opening the back panel door.
You can access the hard drive on the P1520 located on the top panel. See picture 2-2 for a visual
reference of the slots’ location.
Compact Flash Storage
NOTE:
Unplug the terminal before opening the back panel door.
You can access the compact flash slot located on the top panel. See picture 2-2 for a visual reference
of the slots’ location. The compact flash slot will only support storage media cards since it is an IDE
interface.
uDOC Storage
A qualified technician is needed to access the uDOC on the P1520 as it is an internal component on the
motherboard and requires disassembly of the front bezel.
