ATTERIES
The radio’s
DC 6V
jack is for
charging Ni-Cd or Ni-MH
batteries. You can recharge
Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries
inside the radio at home or in
your vehicle, using a 6V,
1000mA AC or DC adapter
and a size F Adaptaplug
TM
connector (not supplied).

1. Rotate
VOL/OFF
fully
clockwise to turn off the
radio.
2. Pull down the latch on
the battery compartment
cover. Then remove the
cover.
3. Set
CHARGE ON/OFF
to
ON.
CAUTION
You must use a
Class 2 power
source that
supplies regulated
6V DC (Not more
than 6V) and
delivers at least
1000 mA. Its
center tip must be
set to positive and
its plug must fit the
radio’s DC 6V
jack. Using an
adapter that does
not meet these
specifications
could damage the
radio or the
adapter.
