RECORDING FROM A RECEIVER/
AMPLIFIER TO ONE OR MORE
DECKS

Here’s how you would record from your receiver/ampli-
fier onto Deck 1, Deck 2, and Deck 3.

1. On your receiver or amplifier, select the desired pro-

gram source, such as the tuner.

2. Set all three of the RECORDING selectors to

SOURCE

3. Set MONITOR to SOURCE to monitor the sound

from the receiver/amplifier.

USING AN EQUALIZER

1. With an equalizer connected, set MONITOR to

DECK 3.

2. Set the DECK 3 RECORDING selector to SOURCE

if you want to equalize the signal from the receiver/
amplifier, or to DECK 1 or DECK 2 to equalize the
playback signal from either deck.

3. Press in the TAPE MONITOR button on your

receiver/amplifier and adjust the equalizer as
desired.

Note: If you want to hear an unequalized signal, press
the BYPASS switch on your equalizer or set MONITOR
to SOURCEDECK 1, or DECK 2.

To record the equalized signal, set the DECK 1 and/or
DECK 2 RECORDING selector to DECK 3.
