Install batteries
1.
Use a flat-blade screwdriver to open the battery
compartment cover.
2.
Insert four AA batteries into
the compartment according
to the polarity symbols
(+ and –) marked inside.

Replace the battery
compartment cover.

Battery Notes:
• When
(
appears or the display dims, replace the
batteries.
• During battery replacement, keep the line cord plugged in and
replace the batteries promptly to maintain Caller ID memory.
• Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
• Do not burn or bury batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of
batteries, or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the phone for two weeks or
longer, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals
that can destroy electronic parts.

Mount your phone
You can mount your phone on a wall plate, directly
on a wall, or place it on a shelf, desk, or table.
Placing the phone on a flat surface
1.
Plug one end of the long phone
cord into the jack on the back end
of the base.
2.
Plug the other end of the cord
into a modular phone jack.
