DISABLING THE LINE 2
INDICATOR
If you have only one telephone line, the
LINE 2 indicator lights and
LINE
2
EX-
TENSION
appears on the display. Follow
these steps to disable the LINE 2 indica-
tor.
1. Press

until the call total appears.

appears (about 3 seconds).
3. Press

DISABLED

4. Press
DELETE
to return to the cur-
rent time display.
ADJUSTING THE DISPLAY
CONTRAST
1. Press

ly until the call total appears.
2. Press and hold down

for about 3 seconds until

appears.
3. Within 30 seconds, repeatedly press

to adjust the dis-
play’s contrast from 1 to 8.

• If you did not connect an AC
adapter, you can only adjust the
display contrast from 1 to 3, and
only after you pick up the hand-
set.
4. When you finish adjusting the con-
trast, press
DELETE
to return to the
main display.
SETTING THE RINGER
VOLUME
To set the ringer’s volume for LINE 1 or
LINE 2, set the correlating

OFF
.
Note: You can still answer calls if you
hear an extension phone ringing, and
you can still make calls.
SETTING THE DIALING
MODE
Set

for the type of service
you have, tone or pulse. If you are not
sure which type you have, do this test.

2. Pick up the handset and listen for a
dial tone.
