The Basics

setting up your mini timer

Connect the power supply to the Mini Timer and plug the power 
supply into an AC outlet.

installing your batteries

Insert two AA batteries (not supplied) in the 
battery compartment to maintain your settings in 
the event of a power outage.

If the battery is low, dead, or has not been 
installed, the low battery indicator will appear in 
the display.

The backlight and the buzzer do not operate when 
the unit is running on the backup batteries.

setting your clock

When you fi rst plug in the Mini Timer, the display will fl ash. 

 

Set the mode switch to 

clock set

Press and hold

 on the 

time

 rocker to advance to the correct     

time. If you go too far, you can use

 on the bottom of the 

rocker switch to go back.

Wake Switch

 - In the 

on

 position, an internal 

wake up buzzer will sound at the time 
programmed for module 1. You can turn it off 
by pressing any button to obtain the “snooze” 
feature, repeating the alarm again 10 minutes 
later. Move the 

wake

 switch to 

off

 to end the 

alarm. Return it to 

on

 to resume the alarm

a quick look at your mini timer

The keyboard on your Mini Timer includes nine basic areas. 

 

Mode Switch

 - Use this switch to set or review a timed event, 

change the Housecode, or set the clock. Also sets the time for 
the internal alarm buzzer.

 

On/Off Buttons 

- Use the four sets of 

on/off

 buttons to turn 

your modules on and off instantly.

 

Time/Adjust Rocker 

- Use this to set the time clock and each 

programmed event.

 

Wake 

- Use this to turn on the internal alarm buzzer.

 

All Off 

- Use this to turn off all modules.

 

Mode Button 

- Use this to set your programmed times to 

occur Daily, Once, or multiple times in the Security mode.

 

All Lights On 

- Use this to turn on all lamp modules and wall 

switch modules (not included).

 

Module Selector Switch

 - Use this switch to select modules 

1-4 or 5-8.

  

Clear 

- Use this button to cancel the programmed time.

Note

You must use the power supply that came with your Home 
Automation Starter Kit. The power supply contains circuitry 
required to control your Plug ‘n Power modules. You cannot replace 
it with a 12V power supply.

 Battery 

Cautions

  

Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or  

 bury 

them.

  

 

Do not mix batteries of different types, capacities and chemistry.

 

 

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended  

 type.

  

If you do not plan to use your mini timer for several weeks,    

 

remove the batteries.
