INSTALLATION
Follow these steps to install your antenna.
1. Place the antenna on or near your TV set or FM
receiver.
2. Connect the antenna's output cable to your TV's,
VCR's or receiver’s FM 75-ohm antenna input termi-
nal.
3. Attach the telescoping antennas to the antenna
brackets on the back of the antenna cabinet.
4. Use 75-ohm coaxial cable (not supplied) to connect
the antenna’s
EXT. ANT
terminal to a second video
source such as a cable TV box or a video game.
5. Connect the supplied AC adapter's barrel plug into
the
12VDC 200mA
jack on the back of the antenna
cabinet and connect the AC adapter's other end to a
standard AC outlet.
Caution: You must use a Class 2 power source
that supplies 12 volts DC and delivers at least
200 mA. Its center tip must be set to positive and
its plug must fit the antenna's
12VDC 200mA
jack. The
supplied adapter meets these specifications. Using an
adapter that does not meet these specifications could
damage the antenna or the adapter.
OPERATION
Adjusting the Antenna
Fully extend the telescoping antennas for viewing VHF
TV Channels 2–6.
Retract the telescoping elements to half of their length
and move them to an angle that produces the best recep-
tion for viewing VHF TV Channels 7–13 and FM radio lis-
tening.
Move the UHF antenna until you get the best reception
for viewing UHF TV Channels 14–69.
Using the Gain Control
When snow or rolls appear in the TV screen, this might
be caused by a TV signal that is too weak or strong. Slide
GAIN
until the snow or rolls disappear.
