PLAYING THE RADIO 
 
Follow these steps to play the radio. 
 
1.  Set function selector to RADIO. 
 
2.  Press RADIO ON to turn on the radio. 
 
3.  Set AM/FM/FM STEREO to AM or FM STEREO. 
 
    Notes:  The Chronosette-276 has two antennas.  The AM antenna is 
            built in.  Turn the Chronosette-276 to improve AM reception. 
            For best FM reception, fully extend the telescoping antenna 
            and adjust it to the position that provides the best 
            reception. 
 
            The FM indicator lights when you receive an FM stereo station. 
 
            To improve reception for weak FM radio stations, set 
            AM/FM/FM STEREO to FM.  The sound changes from stereo to 
            monaural (mono), but the sound quality improves. 
 
4.  Turn TUNING to the desired frequency. 
 
5.  Adjust VOLUME for a comfortable listening level. 
 
6.  Adjust BALANCE and TONE for optimum sound. 
 
7.  To turn off the radio, press RADIO OFF or slide the function 
    selection to OFF. 
 
USING THE SLEEP FEATURE 
 
You can set the radio to play up to 59 minutes and automatically turn off 
so you can fall asleep as you listen. 
 
Follow these steps to use the sleep feature 
 
1.  Set OFF/RADIO/ALARM to RADIO. 
 
2.  Press SLEEP. 00:59 shows on the display.
