3. To set the playing time for 59 minutes, release SLEEP. The radio
automatically turns off after 59 minutes.

CASSETTE OPERATION
You can play a cassette, record from the radio, or make the live
recordings.
LOADING A CASSETTE TAPE
Follow these steps to load a cassette tape.
1. Use your finger or a pencil to turn the cassette's hub and take up
any tape slack.
2. Press STOP/EJECT to open the cassette compartment door.
3. Load the cassette with its open edge up and the full reel to the
right. The side facing you is the side that plays.
4. Close the cassette compartment door.
PLAYING A CASSETTE TAPE
Load a cassette as described in "Loading a Cassette Tape." Then follow
these steps to play the tape.
Warning: To protect your hearing, set VOLUME near its lowest setting
before you turn on the tape player.
1. Press RADIO ON.
2. Set the function selector to TAPE.
3. Press PLAY.
4. Adjust VOLUME for a comfortable listening level.
5. Adjust BALANCE and TONE for optimum sound.
