2. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot next to

the battery compartment cover and gently pry it
up until the cover pops off.

3. Place the batteries in the compartment as indi-

cated by the polarity symbols (

+

 and 

) marked

inside.

4. Replace the cover. If you replaced the batteries,

reconnect the telephone line.

When 

 appears replace the batteries.

Warning:  Dispose of old batteries promptly and
properly. Do not burn or bury them.

Caution: If you do not plan to use the CID-941 with
batteries for a month or longer, remove the batteries.
Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy elec-
tronic parts.
