VOX operation, even if you stop
talking for a few seconds, hold down

. When you release
PTT
, trans-
mitting stops after about 2 seconds
of silence.
• After the volume controls are set,
you can adjust the volume with ei-
ther the headset’s or the transceiv-
er’s volume control.

Operation
1. Set the headset’s volume control to
its lowest setting.
2. Set

RADIO

BOTH

3. Set
VOX

OFF
.
4. Turn on your transceiver and set its
volume to about mid-range.
5. Adjust the headset’s volume control
to a comfortable level.
6. Press
PTT
to transmit and release it
to receive.
7. When you finish operation, turn off
the transceiver.
Using the AUDIO IN Jack
You can attach an audio source (such
as a cassette player, CD player, or ra-
dio) to the headset so you can listen to
music while talking to others. Simply
plug one end of the

AUDIO IN
jack, and the other end to the
headphone jack on the audio source.
