3
ohm coaxial cable with F-type connec-
tors.
•
If your TV does not have a VHF 75-ohm
F-connector, you need a 75-ohm-to-300-
ohm matching transformer.
Using AC Power
You can power the modulator using the sup-
plied 15V, 400-mA AC adapter.
Cautions:
You must use a Class 2 power
source that supplies 15V DC
and delivers at least 400 mA.
Its center tip must be set to positive and
its plug must fit the modulator's
12 V DC
jack. The supplied adapter meets these
specifications. Using an adapter that
does not meet these specifications could
damage the modulator or the adapter.
• Always connect the AC adapter to the
modulator before you connect it to AC
power. When you finish, disconnect the
adapter from AC power before you dis-
connect it from the modulator.
Follow these steps to connect the adapter.
1. Connect the adapter’s barrel plug into the
modulator’s
12 V DC
jack.
2. Plug the adapter into an AC outlet.
VCR, DSS Receiver, DVD Player
Connect any audio/video source to the modu-
lator’s
AUDIO IN
L/R
and
VIDEO IN
with an au-

AUDIO IN
L/R
and
VIDEO IN
are connected to corre-
sponding input jacks on the audio/video
source. The modulator is color-coded. Con-
nect the modulator’s
TO TV
to the TV with a
coax cable.
Video Camera Application
Insert the camera’s video cable into
VIDEO IN
on the modulator. Connect the modulator’s
TO
TV
to the TV with RG59 coax cable.
Single TV Application
Connect the modulator’s
TO TV
to the TV with
RG 59 coax cable.
Note: To use the modulator with a cable/an-
tenna system, use the supplied high isolation
A-B switch to eliminate possible interference
with incoming cable/antenna signals.
