If a balance is connected with an external thermometer of TB-2 series then its
software automatically acquires temperature data from the thermometer. The
temperature value is updated in real time.
17.2.1.
Supplementary settings for carat content mode
Prior to measurement, the user shall select format (measuring units) for data
that is either displayed or printed on reports in course of measurement
procedure performed for this mode.
In case of temperature parameter, the selected unit is valid also when entering
water temperature value in course of the measurement, supposing that the
external thermometer, TB-2, is not connected.
Unit options:

– option allowing setup of unit for temperature
determined in course of samples testing by means of a thermometer,
available units: [°C] or [°F]

VOL. UNIT
– option allowing setup of unit for tested samples volume
printed on reports, available units: [CM3] or [GAL]

– option allowing setup of unit for tested samples density
printed on reports, available units: [G/CM3] or [OZ/GAL]

RESULT PREC
. – option for setting precision of measurement result
display and printout, the option refers also to percent content of gold,
Platinum or major alloy component (for PT CLASS the result is always
provided in a form of integer independently on parameter settings).
The user may select between the following values:
0.01 – result value with two decimal places
0.1 – result value with one decimal place
1
– result value with no decimal place, an integer
It is necessary to adjust settings of the above options values prior to tests. The
selected options shall be respective to needs and expectations resulting from
working environment.
The settings are valid for all functions of the CARAT CONTENT mode.
