Management
The
VLAN
priority
is
used
for
the
traffic
sent
from
the
ODU
to
the
managing
com
‐
puter.

the
VLAN

and
Priority
of
the
managing
computer
NIC
to
be
the
same
as
those
of
steps
2
and
3
respectively.

Lost
or
forgotten
VLAN
ID
If
the
VLAN
ID
is
forgotten
or
there
is
no
VLAN
traffic
connected
to
the
ODU,
then
reset
the
relevant
ODU.
During
the
first
two
minutes
of
connection,
the
ODU
uses
management
packets
both
with
and
without
VLAN.
You
may
use
this
period
to
reconfigure
the
VLAN
ID
and
priority.

SNMP
support
is
permanently
enabled.
You
may
choose
between
SNMPv1,
SNMPv3
or
both.
If
you
choose
SNMPv3,
you
will
be
offered
the
following
cautionary
message:
For
a
sector
managed
as
part
of
a
network,
direct
access
to
a
HBS/HSU
using
Telnet
is
considered
to
be
a
security
breach.
Telnet
access
may
be
enabled
or
disabled
by
clicking
the
Protocol
tab
and
enabling/disabling
Telnet
access
using
the
Telnet
check
‐
box.
Similar
considerations
apply
to
access
via
the
Web
Interface.

Telnet

access
