13) If the serial printer option is enabled through the Pro-
RAE suites, a new menu item is shown “Print Reading?”
Connect a Rae specified serial printer to the serial port
of the monitor. By pressing the “Y” key, the current
instantaneous readings of the monitor will be printed out
from the serial printer.
14)The
communicate with PC?
menu display allows the
user to upload data from the VRAE to a Personal
Computer (PC) or download configuration information
from a PC to the VRAE.
Press the
[Y/+]
key and the LCD displays the message
“Monitor will pause, OK?” to remind the users that during
PC communication, there will be no real time monitoring of
the gas concentration. Press
[Y/+]
key to proceed and the
monitor enter the communication standby mode. The LCD
then displays “Ready...” Connect the monitor to the serial
port of a PC. The monitor is then ready to receive any
command from PC (see Section 5 for details on
communications between VRAE and PC).
Note: When the monitor is in communication
standby mode, it stops monitoring the gas
concentration and stops datalogging. Datalogging
must be manually restarted when exiting the
communication standby mode, unless it is in
automatic datalogging mode.
Press the
[MODE]
or
[N/-]
key to exit the communication
standby mode and move to the next display, which shows
instantaneous readings.
